Polyethylene PE1000 sheet commonly referred to as ultra-high-molecular-weight, UHMW, or UHMWPE, is one of our most popular engineering plastics. It provides excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals, impact and wear, and offers very low co-efficient of friction. UHMW is also non-toxic, odourless, and is highly resistant to moisture.
At SK JAIN INSULATIONS, we stock a wide range of polyethylene PE1000 sheet that offer different characteristics. These include options such as PE1000 virgin and blue, which are suitable for food contact applications and conform to FDA regulations, ceramic filled, which can be used as an alternative to sintered ceramics in high load, high speed applications and metal detectable UHMW, which helps to reduce the risk of product contamination.
UHMW plastic sheet is commonly machined into wear strips, chain guides and change parts and is a popular engineering plastic in food processing and bottling operations. Specific grades of PE1000 are also used in bulk material handling applications to line chutes, hoppers and dump trucks, helping to improve product flow and prevent against ratholing and arching.
We also supply polyethylene PE1000 rod and a wide range of wear strips, chain and belt guides and conveyor wear bends. A comprehensive plastic machining service utilising highly advanced CNC technology is also available should you require.
Many grades of UHMW plastic sheet are available to buy AT SK JAIN INSULATIONS
PTFE Sheets
Our PTFE Sheets offers excellent thermal, electrical, mechanical, and chemical properties as well as superior control over pore size, permeability, water entry pressure, and thickness. PTFE sheet is an ideal choice for a wide variety of demanding applications requiring one or a combination of these exceptional properties.
PTFE Rods
PTFE rods are made of material insoluble in most organics and has excellent electrical properties. It remains stable at both cryogenic and elevated temperatures (from -200° C up to 260° C), he PTFE rods also have a very low coefficient of friction and are commonly used in food contact applications. Rods of PTFE provides good thermal stability and has good electrical properties, but are not suitable for wear application and is difficult to bond.
PTFE Tubing / PTFE Sleeving
With a clean smoothbore interior our teflon Thin Wall PTFE Tubing allows for a restriction free flow.
PTFE Thin wall tubing has a low permeability to gases and liquids. PTFE is almost completely inert to chemical attack, but under special conditions, it can be affected by such substances as alkali metals and halogens.
PTFE Tubing is heat resistant to 260°C and is ETO (ethylene oxide) and autoclave sterilizable for repeated usage. Fluoropolymer tubing is considered a highly flexible tube but the properties of PTFE Tubing allow for it to have the best flex life out of the group.
Chemical And Heat Resistant Thin Wall Tubing
We offer high quality thin wall teflon tubing for industrial use. Made using the finest materials, our flexible Teflon tubing provides high resistance against chemicals and heat.
PTFE Tapes
PTFE Tape for threads
Pipe Thread Tape of PTFE provides a highly resistant seal on pipe threads for all types of service. This economy-grade tape works with several types of systems, and it permits easy disassembly, even after many years of service. PTFE thread seal tape is ideal for systems with water, drinking water and compressed air. PTFE Tape (10 m x 12 mm x 0.075 mm).LD (density: 0.2 g/ cm3). Max. pipe diameter: 3/4”.Temperature resist.
PTFE Coated Tapes and Fabrics
The PTFE coated fabrics and tapes have unique properties. The PTFE-Polytetrafluorethylene (Teflon®) can truly be described by that much used word “unique”. No other plastics material can match its combination of properties. Our high performance PTFE products are typically composed of woven glass fibers coated with PTFE (Teflon®) .
The PTFE coated tapes, fabrics and films combine the mechanical properties of woven fabrics with excellent properties of PTFE. The resultant PTFE coated fabrics have the following general properties:
- Temperature resistance (from -170°C to +260°C)
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Superior non-stick surface, easy to clean, Non-toxic
- High dielectric strength
- Dimensional stability
- Resistance to UV, IR and HF
